Looking for Help. With Rl16 7mm-08 Barnes 120 gr ttsx load data.
There is not any data . Barnes lags behind in new load data. I do not have Quick load .,

I have been a member for awhile but really do not have anything Important to add to conversations. that has not been already said. Or discussed. I just read and learn from the posts.

So if anyone can give some tips or load data it would be appreciated .
Thank you.

someone will probably run ql soon. But Alliant lists data for the 160 tsx. I would probably start from there. Also when I run across this issue I look at quick load, then compare velocities with other powders to get an idea what I should expect.

I just got back from the country a couple hours ago, I was shooting this exact combination.. I was finishing load development... 7mm-08, 120 gr TTSX, RL16, WLRP, Rem brass...

44.9 gr - 47.7 gr in 0.4 gr increments... did not reach pressure signs... best group (3 shot) was at 46.1 gr (1/2"group). Velocity range was 2779 - 2931 fps... 46.1 gr was 2854 fps.... This group was most precise but velocity was low... I'm all about group size so I'm going to run with it. You need to vibrate cases to settle the RL16 down in the case as it's very bulky. I shoot my deer inside 100 yards so 2850 fps muzzle velocity is enough for me.. Chrony was Labradar.

Good luck... Start low and work up......

Wow ! Perfect , Thank you. most deer are take well under 100 yard where we hunt. So if i can get accuracy that will work . Great Job. Thank you Again.

Some powders that I uses in my 7mm-08 are Benchmark, Imr4895 and Imr 4064. They are very accurate.

My alliant data book 2021 does not show your bullet weight only heavier,so data for 130 Speer bt is Federal brass rl-16 ,f-210 primer,2.730 oal,47.8 grains =3014 fps mz.I'd drop 2.0 grains down and you'll be close ,remember different brass has different volumes, cheers

I am not exactly sure what brand of bullet they are as i bought them as a batch of pulled down seconds from American reloading. I think they are Nosler ballastic tips if I were to guess. I tested 18 different powders and found Benchmark, Imr 4895 and 4064 to work the best with 120, 140, and 150gr powder.
