Longer barrel Savage Axis 25-06

I just bought a Savage Axis in a 25-06 left hand bolt action.
I'm wondering if I can put a longer Barrel on this action, currently has a 22" BBL.
Would like to put a 26".
Can a custom Barrel maker do this, will this action except anther Barrel?

Any small shank Savage barrel will thread on to your Axis action.

NSS on Savageshooters stocks, or will order, prefits for Savage actions.

Thanks GearGrinder, I just placed an Order with McGowan Barrel
for a 26" Savage Bull Barrel, and I'm looking for a wood source to build a new stock.
