I am selling my Savage 17 HMR that is ready to go for long range rimfire fun. The Savage is a heavy barrel with laminate factory stock. The scope is a Nikon Monarch 5-20x44 with target turrets and BDC. The scope is anchored with a 20MOA EGW bases and Warne rings. The scope, rings, base and covers were 650, which I am asking for everything. The gun loves the 20 grain Hornady and shoots under MOA and has all the drop charts to 300 yards. The gun has only 150 rounds down the tube and only cleaned with bore guide and Dewey products. Only reason selling is to build a truly custom 17. Please contact me through the website. I am located in Michigan. Thanks Tom

I would consider to separate but would like to find buyers for both. I am flexible on the price. To the person that wanted to buy the gun what did you want, just the gun or gun with base and rings?

The gun loves the 20 grain hornady and always shoots sub moa with 17 grain around a inch at a hundred. The 20 really start to shine over the 17 at 200 hundred. Anything after a 100 wind is a huge factor but on a calm day with dialing the scope shoots amazing out to 300. The gun needs about three foul rounds before the groups really shine.

Just to let every know I have quite a bit of ammunition that will go with the gun. Hornady 20 grain and 17 grain, CCI 20grain and a few other 17grain.

Met the seller today and picked up this rifle.

Seller is a great guy, and rifle is everything I expected. Thumbs up for him for any future sales!

Nightforce has great tracking capabilities, they are rugged, a bunch of elevation, holds zero forever, and reticles are designed for long range shooting. So if you are looking to shoot long distances constantly, then you need a scope that can take the abuse. -- gilmillan1

Nightforce is such a solid combo of reticle, available elevation, glass that is good enough to shoot at the longest range you can dial. Nightforce has bullet proof construction that can handle the incidental horse rolling or some other rodeo action. -- bigngreen

The total package. Nightforce is the best I have used as far as turret feel and solid detents. I have never had one that didn't track right on and always return to zero. Nightforce NXS is the best value for everything I need. -- Broz
