They have been extending range for last 30 years or so. Some wild life management units have a bounty on them. Unfortunately not ours. Have some rough land around my location with tamarack swamps and low areas which they seem to love. forty below doesn't seem to phase them. Fun off season sport. I have enjoyed eating the meat as well. Larger ones I get the hams smoked or make pepperoni or sausage. Fun Fun.

Same here! Glad they aren't here. I've hunted the Ohio, New York, and Pennsylvania area in the states for most of my life. No pigs here thankfully, but thinking about booking a pig hunt in the next year or 2 for some target practice
 
When I was younger and had no money, I used to hear about farmers that would let you go hunt their farms for free and kill as many as possible. You just have to get there and find a place to stay. Is that still a thing ?
