Leupold Varmint vs B&C

Planning on ordering a VX3 4.5-14x50 30mm for my 270 Weatherby for elk and western big game. Shots inside 500. I've had a varmint hunter reticle on my 22-250 for about eight years. Just wondering what reticle to get for big game. I like the fine hairs on the varmint and I'm used to it. Will it work out alright for the slower 270 Wby? Thanks!

I shoot the varmint hunter also. Go back and look at the velocities on the card that tells you the power to set the scope at for the appropriate velocity. If your 270 bullets fall into those numbers it should work at the specific power.
