I see a lot of long range stuff here, but not many hand-wreckers. I only have one.
A JD Jones 470 Nitro Encore. It's a handful.

That looks like a "handful"! What case is the cartridge based off of? memtb

It's a 500 Nitro Express case necked to .475 Caliber. It will shoot any of the big 475 cal dangerous game rifle bullets as well as bullets for the 475 Linebaugh and 480 Ruger. I believe that's a 550 grain soft point round nose Woodleigh in the pic.

The 475 Nitro Express uses .483 diameter bullets.....a bit confusing. 470 = .475" and 475 = .483"

If UPS doesn't lose my blank again I'll eventually be building a 50 ReedWhacker (similar to the 50 thumper) a 300WSM chopped with a 50 bmg bullet stuffed in it.

I always wanted one of those 375 JDJ Contenders with the vent rib barrels, but back in 80's when JD came out with them, I was making 5 bucks an hour. There was no way I was able to afford a $1,000 barrel.

However, I do have a semi auto 375 JDJ rifle.
