Updating Kestrel Elite FW to 1.09.
We are now on FW version 1.09 for the Kestrel Elite. We have a couple of notes for you as well as some suggestions.:
We suggest you delete Kestrel LiNK from your mobile device. This program can conflict with the Kestrel LiNK Ballistics and the way Bluetooth functions. Essentially, if you have both running in the background, when you wake the device up, they will compete for a connection to the Kestrel Elite. If the program you have in the background connects first, you will not be able to connect in the program you want to use. To avoid this issue, we recommend in-installing Kestrel LiNK Seen Here:
Both Android and iOS can now update FW. I have provided a video here showing you how easy it is to complete this update.
Firmware Notes 1.09
Provides full support for both left and right twist barrels.
Allows for crosstalk, so the user can update the range on either the App or the Kestrel.
FW Updates no longer delete the Rifle Profiles on your device.
As a side note, this is a completely free process. Both apps are free, and both the Android as well as the iOS app has been updated to perform updates in the future. Update prompts are now automatic, so you do not need to guess when its time to perform a FW update. When the library is updated it will happen automatic as well. See a video of how this works here:
