It should fit, you just might need to extend the magazine well, its basically the same size as a .338 win mag.

I wonder if it's too powerful and blow it up? I read the psi on the 375 ruger was 62000? I wonder if it will handle it?

A .338 win mag is rated up to 64000, I have put together a couple of Mauser 98s (German made 1909 Argentine) and have had no problems. My only concern would be either the action being too hard (possible cracking) or too soft (bolt set back increasing headspace)

I might go with a 35 Whelen AI. It's basically a woods gun and a Hog gun, whitetail, maybe a Moose or Black Bear hunt in Maine or PA. I think the Whelen will probably be just a 300 yard or less gun. Likely much less in the woods. I have a 300 WSM being re barrelled so that could go with me and if there are going to be some longer shots that might do. Thanks, a 375 will have to come at another time.
