My ELR rifle is about 4' long. I found a Plano at Cabela's that fit it. It's not cheap but it's also built like a tank.

Just buy two cases, cut the right end off one and the left off the other, and JB weld those bad boys together. BOOM! One big case

Oh!!!! An even better idea!!! Carrying a rifle around in a rifle case is for boring people. Have you considered how COOL/UNIQUE/BADASS it would be to go to and from the range with your rifle in a custom engraved COFFIN!!!???? The casket-blaster, the grave-digger, the undertaker….so many names for your gun!!!

Man my own brilliance here astounds me . Too much coffee….

But seriously, you could put all your range gear with the rifle in the coffin! A chronograph, a loading bench, targets, heck a lawn chair and a full picnic could accompany you. The coffin doubles as a portable shelter of sorts…Now to buy a "tactical hearse" to complete the package….
