IClimb, where are you ordering that barrel from? I have not seen anybody listing an 8" twist 7mm blank for sale anywhere.

Third Generation has several or them. They also have bullets for $46 per box.

But bugholes is having some 7mm Bartleins available in November. As long as it has s a contour that he was already going to be getting. Essentially if you call and get on the list, bartlein hasn't cut the twist yet and you can have an 8twist cut.

Bergers twist calculator showed I could run a 9twist at 5k elevation...I saw a "t" twist bartlein that started at 1:9.7 finished @ 1:8.7. I think it would be interesting to try.
