Shot this a couple days back at 1000 hrs. in a rolling/dancing mirage from 1000 yards. Target is 44" diameter with a 20" inner plate of 20" diameter. Load was 38.5 grs. Varget, BR4 primer, and the Berger 130 gr. VLD bullet. Don't know the velocity as of this date as I just haven't had or taken the time to set up the chrony. Rifle has 1-8.5 Krieger barrel, Rem 700 action equipped with a Surgeon DBM. Scope is a NightForce 5.5x22x56MM equipped with MilDots. This 10 shot group is a tat high on the 10 ring plate as I used the same zero I have for some 123 gr. SMK bullets loaded with the same load as the 130 Bergers and it appears that the latter is gonna shoot just a little flatter than the former.

I haven't had this rifle but about a week but I have fired 6 and 7 shot groups with it from 100 yards to get a foundation zero with the groups shooting in the .100" size! I do think it will be one really great shooter. Since initially loading for it with the 130 Bergers just touching the lands.....I've discovered that it will shoot much tighter with the bullet jammed into the lands .015"!

Nice looking stick, good shooting in those conditions. I have not had a lot of luck with the 130 bergers glad they are shooting for you. The 123s despite the BC disadvantage really stack em from my 6.5x47.

thanks for posting this one. my 6.5 lapua will be done in another month or so, and now you've got me all excited!
