Hydrostatic shock?

New user of Barnes 110 gr TTSX in my 270 Win. Correct me if I'm wrong but I'm assuming a high(er) shoulder shot would lessen some (all?) of the bullet expansion concerns many have with monos. Yes? TTSX & LRX?

Amberjack, We always called them "Reef Donkeys".

One time we went out of Venice, all caught our 2-fish limit of 80-120lb yellowfin on 30# tackle.
Stopped at a rig for AJ, and after I saw the procedure take place complete with 4 outboards dragging the fish away from the pilings, while the idiot on the opposite end tried to remain in the boat, I sat back down with another cold Bud and told my gang anyone but me could "catch" my AJ. Quite fun to observe.

We just had fish today.
Shrip, o yeah.

Grits... — nope, not my realm.


But from my real I had:
alligator tail (tastes between chicken and fish),
monkey,
roasted ants, anaconda (like fried rubber hose),
armadillo,
huge snails in ceviche,
griddled giant grubs (gave me diarrhea all night long),
and of course, the national dish: guinea pig (that stares at you from your plate with a savage grin of its bared teeth).


And to get back to this thread's topic:
Some of these food can give you a hydrostatic shock to your digestive system!

It provides consistent bullet performance when the heavier muscle or bone is hit. My dad runs 100gr .257 TTSX over 3700, you don't have to worry about being too fast, it will do the deed. Beats the fair chance of a pencil entrance and exit, in the ribs.

I know you wouldn't. You've been brainwashed by something. Not sure it's been identified yet. But I'll share a little story from long ago on monos. It goes sort of like the big sierras you shot. A lot of guys here started shooting Barnes a good while back. I didn't. Found nothing wrong with the Corelokt. The guys shooting the Barnes started crippling and not recovering deer. Remember you just can't walk upright in a lot of places here. It's crawl and/or swim. I know Barnes has improved, but I can't name a single person that shoots them here.
My hang up is BC and my oath to myself, crazy as that may be! Most of my kills on deer are from 200-600 yards. Most monos just don't have the BC. The ones Phill is messing with now will be interesting if their BC holds up.. Problem is I'd have to sell my rural assault truck, with a full tank of gas, to buy a years supply of those.
Now if, @fordy was feeling generous and wanted to send me a few of His bullets for trial, I'd be obliged to take him up on that. As a friend! It's hard for me to say' as a mate. Just throws me off a little.

Im not just a mono guy as some good c&c & im excited that the likes of Sierra is finally acknowledging that stricter standards need to be met & I hope that is not just talk & one that if that occurs one will beable to cover more bases with more certainty & why I like monos better well only the best monos as you use a bad to average mono you don't cover bases as well as a good c&c

Overall I'm the best bullet for best scenario & one I look forward to our rivalry continuing lol

Serious now & how about a pill that kills like a big brother yet kicks like a little brother on that for a while as all this less recoil can now be utilised in a bigger chambering yes start ticking we have been looking @ bullets from the wrong way for way to many years lol

My take is
Hydrostatic is one that once you see it you'll believe iit but what some see is more likely hydraulic imo

I'll see if I can find a report that was done involving sectioned parts of brains of bovines that showed some extremely interesting findings

I like channel cats best, then flatheads. My favorites are flounder, black bass, redfish, cobia, and sheepshead. Black drum also makes a very good stew.

I used to fish for flatheads with live bluegill in Colorado River. Big Blue cats in San Diego Co. Lake Hodges. San Vicente Resivor. Big large mouth bass there also. Channel cats there in all lakes and resivors. Cut makeral worked good. Would catch a bunch of makeral when ocean fished to save for bait.
