i was just after any opinions on the Howa M1500 for a cheapish varmint rifle, in 22-250. How do they compare to a remington value for money wise.
Thanks for any input.

Howa 1500 is a very very good rifle, the action is great, you can use remington scope mounts. they tend to be accurate. very nice base for a custom rifle.
I had a Howa ( RWS 89) in 300 win mag and i was dumb enough to sell it, bieng regretting it ever since,

Yep Yep , great gun for the money and like it was said they make a oggd base for a project later

Have a heavy bbl 1500 with a custom stock in 308 Win. Shoots as good as my custom rifles. Actually has become a favorate. I figured it was just "Jap Junk" until I bought one. Good feel, smooth action, cams like it's hand fit.
