How to keep socks/ boots dry inside

I really like Costco wool hiking socks, I use them when I'm cutting timber in the winter. What ever you get make sure to use the heck out of it before the big trip. Maybe even intentionally get a boot full of snow or rain and see how it drys out. thumbs up

I think feet are so personal that you have to try a few different things to see what works. I have very sweaty feet and have fought cold feet for years - it seems like nothing worked. More insulation, less insulation, thick socks, thin socks, this boot that boot. One thing that has helped a little is the anti-perspirant. another thing I have switched to is a full synthetic boot - they seem to breath better and they are lighter weight. In cold weather, I use a heavier sock. Whenever i used to hunt in the snow, I put on my 2 pairs of socks (because someone said it was more breathable), put on my heavy schnees pac boots, put on my waterproof pants over those, then threw my waterproof gaiters on over those - feet FROZE. My sweaty feet would have everything soaked within 2 hours. Once saturated in that system, there is nowhere for anything to evaporate out. So I switched to a lighter weight system and only use full synthetic socks (thorlo) for everything when I am moving/hunting. I keep one thick pair of wool socks to sleep in or put on if I sit for long periods. My light weight system is a little colder sometimes, but dry. I figure dry and a little cold is better than wet and cold. I am following this to see what others say as well as I still don't have it figured out!
