Hi fokes, I'm a new member and have been trying to figure out how to send money to the site with out joining this paypal thing. Tried to reach the site admin and probably didn't do it right but haven't heard back from him. I was dragged kicking and screaming into the computer world anyway and was born to early to get anywhere near proficient with these things anyway. Would like to just send a check or use my credit card in a normal manner, can anyone give me a hand. Thanks
John

You might have to contact Len/Admin directly.

When I open a thread, this banner appears at the top (screenshot):

When I click on the "DONATE" button, it goes to a PayPal page where you can make a donation.

Hope that helps. If you don't see that banner, maybe your browser settings need adjusting.

I've gotten to that point but when I try to use my credit card they try to make me join PayPal to use my card. Not interested in joining anything but the site, thanks John
Hm. I didn't seem to have to sign up to donate with a card. (I actually do have a PP account, but I did not log in.)

It did require me to enter some personal info, but no more than I'd have to enter for using a card for checking out as a "guest" at many online retailers.

The PP page offered: "Have an account? Log in" but you don't need to. The info requested is just to verify the CC "purchase."

I reported your post directly to @Len Backus . I'd bet he checks in with you soon.

Thank you, I couldn't figure out the password deal they wanted me to make up. I hate passwords, never can remember them and everyone who wants your info can get it anyway the only thing or person that passwords keep out of my business is me. Again, thank you fokes for the help,
John

Sorry for your frustration, Farmerjohn!

The Backus family appreciates your good intentions very much.

Windini above has accurately explained that you can use your CC in a normal way through our Paypal.

Here again is his comment:

Boss, I give up. I've spent the last hour trying to give you 20 bucks. I am literate, have a pilots license, a CDL, and can operate any piece of heavy equipment I've ever seen but I can't get the credit card to work. I put in all the normal card info, billing address ect and hit the button and it comes back telling me that I have to use a password. I enter my site password and it says that it has to be a combination of letters and numbers. I've been all over the page and tried everything I can to make it work. Sorry to be so apparently dumb, John

Shoot @Len Backus a PM, he can get with you on the phone and walk you through it in a coupe of minutes I'm sure unless there's an issue with the pay portal and if there is he needs to know about it.

Hey John - sorry this has been a frustration for you.

When you click Subscribe via credit card, it will encourage you to create a paypal account. This is due to the fact it's a subscription, and should you wish to cancel, you can do so easy and without having to contact us, etc.
