How to adjust a Schmitt and Bender??

Just got my new rifle this week and I am doing my barrel break in and I can not get the turret on my PMll 3X20X50 to go past zero. The directions state to loosen the set screws and lift turret till you see the oring and then turn and push back down. I can not make this happen. Any ideas on what Im doing wrong?

well after messing with it, it was just too simple. The clicks is what was confusing me, I have it going now. IT is a sweet scope.
