Hornady 6.5 max die

I have 6.5 max hornady fl bushing die this is my second die first one split at the base now the second one split what am I doing wrong

The die split or the brass? Did you lube the cases? Using correct size neck bushing? Are you starting out with 6.5 brass or necking up/down other brass?

The die split once fired adg brass, yes they were lubed

50 years of reloading and I've never accomplished that feat. Makes me believe Hornady has an issue with metal, dimensions, or both.

I talked to a Hornady rep yesterday he seems to think brass or die problem he did mention possibly a bad chamber in my gun
