What's the deal with these high hazmat fees plus shipping on top? Just capitalism at work during these times?? Just purchased a couple pounds of powder from a certain online retailer... $38 for hazmat then another $32 for shipping??? It's getting ridiculous.. guess I just needed to vent.

Standard hazmat from most retailers run in the $22.00 to 25.00 range. You sure took it in the shorts at those rates.

Yea I know it. That's probably what aggravated me the most. But where I'm located at now there's no local stores, and it was the only place that had what I was looking for.

There are online retailers who take advantage of people during shortages. You need to avoid those businesses.

You're talking about the same place I ordered from. It was a last resort, so I paid a premium.

I've only ordered powder online a couple of times due to the ridiculous hazmat fees. When I do order online, I try to at least make it worth it by purchasing 8lbs or more.

I had ordered 6 pounds of RL-26 from Bruno's as it was the first I had seen in a long time - the next morning, I found a much better deal on 8# jugs from another supplier. Was able to cancel my order at Bruno's luckily and then order the 8# jug from the other supplier. All in, it was still $20 cheaper for the 8# jug with hazmat and shipping, than the 6# from Bruno's.

I know where you are coming from. You have to do what you have to do in these times when you need a some supplies.

HazMat is a pass-along fee. Retailers should be prohibited from charging more than the actual cost imposed by UPS or whomever. They can play games with THEIR shipping & handling fees.

We aren't even allowed to order loaded ammo or powder for delivery here, all has to be pick up only!
