Howdy, I'm Will.

I've been bitten by the long range shooting bug. I'll be receiving a Remington 700 SPS Tactical in .308 shortly and I found this site to get info on long range shooting and hunting.

I haven't hunted in years, my father and I used to hunt deer, quail and turkey in Oklahoma when I was a teen.

I'm now in South Carolina looking forward to honing my shootign skill again.

Sounds like you will have a good factory rig to do some shooting with! 308 is a pretty good rifle to practice with, reletively inexpensive to shoot and practice moderate recoil and as long as you don't let your barrel heat up too much you'll be shooting thousands of rounds before the barrel will give out
