I know this subject probably been been beat up more times than necessary.
So I'm in the process of building another 6.5 saum with a proof carbon barrel, light sendero.
It's been a while since I've done any custom builds. And now i find out Vais brakes are no longer. I really liked the Vais for a smaller rifle build. I like how it's low-profile and just plain. I'm not doing the tactical thing here, so want to stay away from tactical looking brakes.
I've read about Johny Glueck possibly making a vais type brake. I see Gentry makes one similar but looks kind of long.
So,, what's out there for us hunters? Something similar to the vais?
I should also mention that 99% of the time I'll be in a elevated box stand with sand bags and muzzle outside the box. So im not worried about a break with 360 porting. Just want something that " works " and is sleek like the vais.
