Hi Everyone ! I've been shooting and hunting for about 65 years now. Don't necessarily consider myself a long-range hunter, though my new Sako 85 Varminter in 308 Win with the Zeiss glass on top definitely makes that a possibility. I'll probably do some load development for it and do some long range shooting while wintering in northern Arizona where I've lived for 45+ yrs. Most of the deer I shoot here in MT are under 150 yards (by choice) and I no longer do much "trophy" hunting. My wife and I enjoy the fine venison I acquire every year here . Big bull elk reside on my place outside of Flagstaff, AZ but I miss the rut now since I don't return to AZ until mid-Nov.
