Local had several pounds of 4831SC. I grabbed a couple lbs, found a great load with 6.5 PRC and now they are gone.

I looked around online and it is out of stock in most places.

Is H4831SC a hard to get powder?

I saw a couple lbs at Scheels yesterday. It's comes and goes where I live somewhat regularly.

Anything worth buying a pound of is worth buying an 8 pound jug so I have only been buying 8# for a while. H4831 is one of the best powders out there for medium to magnum chamberings, 270-300WM it is a star performer. Not the fastest velocity but super consistent and accurate for me.

Yep 2800 FPS in a 22" 6.5 PRC 143 ELDX but very accurate with low SD/ES

H1000, N560,N565 will all net you at least 100fps more. But, no animal out to 700 will tell the difference between 2800 & 2920fps MV.
