Groups opening up with suppressor.

Another question..Is this isolated to one rifle or have you tried the can on multiple rifles? Some cans are known to open up groups, I've encountered this myself.

Have only used on this rifle. It did tighten up groups a little with another load.

Allot of times. A big part of accuracy is a velocity node. What was your velocity without the can? Then compare it to the velocity with your can. You may have to drop a couple tenths in powder charge to get back where you need to be. That has been my experience. Rare but sometimes it happens. Especially if you were close to the top end without the suppressor.

I had to reduce powder charge a tad. Just like developing a new load recipe.

I think this right. I did a survey awhile back. I initially thought using a can could result in lower or higher velocity.

But almost everyone reported an increase of between 10 to 30 fps using a can.

So, likely you will need to reduce your load a few tenths to get the velocity back to pre-can area.

Yeah, if you're gonna shoot with a can, develop the load with the can. Adding the can alters the barrel harmonics. That said, if you've got a good load with the rifle unsupressed, load 5 rounds on either side of the node at .1 to .3 grain increments and it should settle in when you put on the can. At least that's what worked for me. That's how I do it when I'm waiting to get a suppressor and I already have the rifle.

It happened to me with a 280AI Sendero Lite.
I developed a great load without the can.
Put my Omega on it and it went off badly.
Now I develop loads with the can I'll be using on a particular barrel.
