Yes middle eastern fellow from Texas. Once we purchased tresspass privileges to hunt on his property for cow elk but we were not allowed to hunt until he took his bull. Well we watched a herd of about 100 elk for days but were not allowed to give chase. Finally he took his bull, but the herd we were watching had moved on.

I saw in the article. His name is
Fayez Sarofim. He was born in Egypt and is an American citzon. Googled how many acres. Nobody knows .Lol

I don't know how many acres the two dot has but it's huge. They own from the national forest boundary on Chief Joesef hwy south and north all the way to hwy 120 . I heard some Texan's owned it.

Canada essentially disarmed their citizens of sidearms many years ago but Canada also has many who live in very remote area's. I've known some remote southern Canadians who ALWAYS took a shotgun to the outhouse!
I know a guy who used to be a helicopter mechanic (retired now) and worked for a company that flew him all over the world! That friend said he knew people on the northern Pacific coast who owned Ruger Redhawk .44 magnums and they carried when logging -- which is totally illegal in Canada! He said the local RCMP knew about it but just turned a blind eye because they also knew about the Grizzly danger these people were in! The restrictive and Archaic Canadian gun laws are why I'd never spend my money to hunt there! American MUST NEVER give up our 2nd amendment rights!

I raced both. 500cc class's. Last one I had was 1986 500. I loved it. Had a 1985 and a 1982 also. All 500's had a 1981 Husky CR430 that I also loved .

Best friend in college raced a Maico 500 early 70's. Made it to the quarter-finals and in position to make semi's when he blew a shock and wasn't able to finish the last few laps. Yes, he was crazy, but he said when you get up that far on the ladder, those guys are nuts and suicidal.

That Barnes 325gn was tested on a variety of game in Africa when the cartridge was introduced.
I have loaded it and the heavier 375gn which are pointed X bullets and not flat nosed and they shoot very well and flat for a handgun.
For whitetail in timber, I use the 275gn X bullet loaded to 1900fps. I had published one of the first reviews in the Colorado Shooting Magazine before data was available and prior to the S&W African summary.
My loads were a little under current data where the PSI rating was increased after the primer specs were changed from large pistol to large rifle and the cases modified to incorprate thw deeper pockets needed for LRP's.
It's a good cartridge but back in 2003, I started the write up stating it was likely one of the best lever action cartridges never chambered.

I wonder if a muzzle brake would help with recoil on the 4 bore ?
Looks like a big Ruger #1. He might have said. I had to watch with sound off.

Not sure I could afford the lead and powder for a 4 bore... or the eye surgery for the detached retina. ;)
