Got 7-08 in trade

Got a Encore 15" 7-08 in trade got a brand new Burris 3-12 ler. How about some powder and bullet suggestions maybe 120 nosler. I got those

H-4895 is what I used to use

120's and IMR 3031, either 4895 or IMR 4064. Always had good luck with 120's and 3031 with shorter barrels.

The barnes 120ttsx factory load shoots so well out of my 7-08 that I haven't spent any time at the reloading bench for it. Sierra suggests CFE223 under 120grn pills.

we are using a 154 hdy with 39 of i4895 lit with a 210 in the Savage striker I built a couple years back. It's also tolerating sta-ball and 150 Nos. BT's but it's rather dirty burning so we've gone back to the 154 load .

7-08 Striker did the job

My boy got his deer this evening at 250 yards with the 7-08 Striker I put together. 1 Shot through the chest with a 154 Hornady did the job just fine.

I've run lots of 139 Hornady ELD-X and loaded with Varget and H4350 had great luck in my 7mm-08, deer never seem to go over 40 yds , and very accurate out to 400 yds out of a mauser .33/40 action with a custom barrel
