I have recently been given a GSG-5 carbine from a family member for Christmas. This gun is a 22 L/R clone of the H&K MP-5, with a 16" stainless barrel. I have never thought that I would have liked a gun of this sort, but I had it out to the range yesterday and was quite impressed. I though it was really too cold to get serious but I actually had some impressive grouping with it at 50 yds.
Production has ceased on this gun due to H&K filing a lawsuit against GSG (German Sport Guns) for copyright infringement, but will continue to support the product. From what I hear, the H&K made stocks, pins, and sights will fit the GSG versions of guns. I highly recommend this fun little piece for purchase.
