This is a stretch in that it would require a constitutional meeting and broad ratification by each state.

But, if enacted by this route it would escape constitutional review by Scotus, though there could be review of conflict w the 2nd amendment I suppose.

Maybe mainly it is Newsomes entry into the presidential ring possibly, an effort to bring Ca. style gun laws to the whole country. It is definitely a ban on
AR style firearms as proposed.

Yes, Democrats will help impeach Joe Biden, and Im not sure how they deal with Kamala, but Gavin Newsome will be running for President, not Joe.
