I just pulled a barrel off a Remington 788 for a friend that's going to build some kind of 6mm. What a neat action. He's going to do a carbon barrel and a nice stock. Really making me jealous

I have one sitting in the back of the safe that I've been wanting to rebarrel for some time.

I really want to do a 260ai and just run it single shot.

Can't wait to see the finished product.

It was a little tough getting it loose. Was making me nervous. Was glad to have the proper tools. I think I'm more excited about the build than my friend lol. I get to put it together and load work up so hopefully that cures my jealousy lol

I could also see a 20 inch 6 creed running suppressed for a light deer-hog-varmint gun.

Ya, sorry. I feel exactly the same. I don't think he's going to go short. He is going to try some sort of Bluetooth to range finder scope setup though which will be really interesting

My guide in NM had that on his personal rig. I didn't see but his was a sig cross or something like that.

Sounds interesting, you load the balastic info into the range finder and it talks to your scope giving you a shooting solution.

Yup, that's the one. He isn't sure about the quality but wants to try it out. Good to have a friend like that ha ha!

It would sure help if they didn't have so many really cool options these days. He said he was just building a hunting setup so I was thinking budget and purpose but then he started seeing what's available and it blew up. I tried to talk him down but it's not looking good. For myself either. Really gets a guy seeing something like that put together and worse yet if it performs. Oh well, god bless America and our freedom
