Well after 28 years now, once again no moose tag.

So aggravating when you look at the stats and see the people with way less years invested drawing the tags. Good for them but frustrating for me. My own daughter drew 4 yrs ago with 1/2 the points I have. She didn't want to tell me. LOL!! And every year that goes by is just another year that's going to be tougher for me physically. Well, I will quit my whining!!

Don't feel so bad, I have 41 years without ever drawing a LE elk tag and 50 years on Goat and sheep. Wish I could give my points to my boys.

Go to Alberta or BC. Can get tags easily.

Would like to keep it in Colorado. Pretty much just lack a moose and desert sheep of which I will probably never draw. I have been trying to draw one of those since back in the late 80's. It is just a lottery drawing. But I keep trying.

I've been pretty fortunate, 2 moose, a sheep……but "skunked" on "goats", I'm up to around 38 attempts!

I'm glad that I'm only 73……there will be come a time in 20 or 30 years when I'll be too old to keep trying! memtb

My friend drew with 12 pts and I have 24. I still don't really understand weighted points.
I did draw a deer tag 2 years in a row. It is usually every other year.

I just gave up 10 points for antelope in Nv. In that time my wife and son both drew with only 2 points. Then my son had to sit out 5yrs and drew again last year. My wife drew a doe antelope tag a couple yrs after her buck tag but that's a different hunt and the points don't cross over. I know tons of people that drew 2 buck tags in my 10yr dry spell. Sometimes the odds just aren't in your favor.
But now I've relocated to Tn. and my odds of starting over and drawing a non-res tag are less than slim and none. But I can take 4 (2 bucks max)deer, a black bear, and 2 turkeys in Tn. just buying a hunting license. Albeit a resident muzzleloader license is $171.
