Being from the UK my stalking ground is near Newton stewart in scotland. I use either my 243 if expecting roe deer but if reds are on the agenda I take my 308.
I only use homeloads these days but used to use Norma.

For the 308 my load is a sierra 2140 165 gr hp using Vit N140 and gives 2725 fps.

For the 243 my mild load is a sierra 1507 70 gr BK again using N140 giving 2950 fps with excellent accuracy.

Sierra is my usual choice of head.

P.s. I have one green sock and one red sock on as I could find the other halves..........
