Cool looking coat on this close to home coyote.

Where are you located? That's what they look like normally in central Georgia.
 
North Texas. Red River area. We get these occasionally up here particularly this time of year.
 
Good job on the coyote, some deer will be happy about that. Like you I have several options when it comes to choosing a caliber and weapon to hunt with. I love the 6.5 Grendel and the 6.5 Creedmoor in the semi-autos. The last two coyotes I shot were shot during daylight. Shot with the bolt action TUBB adaptive rifle I had with me deer hunting, expecting some longer range shots for deer. The rifle had the 6.5 Creedmoor barrel on it with suppressor. I was using Barnes 130 gr TTSX bullet and it performed well. I would not recommend it if you want the fur.
