North Texas. Red River area. We get these occasionally up here particularly this time of year.

Good job on the coyote, some deer will be happy about that. Like you I have several options when it comes to choosing a caliber and weapon to hunt with. I love the 6.5 Grendel and the 6.5 Creedmoor in the semi-autos. The last two coyotes I shot were shot during daylight. Shot with the bolt action TUBB adaptive rifle I had with me deer hunting, expecting some longer range shots for deer. The rifle had the 6.5 Creedmoor barrel on it with suppressor. I was using Barnes 130 gr TTSX bullet and it performed well. I would not recommend it if you want the fur.
Keep those stories coming, I really enjoy them!
