I see this was posted a while back. I bought a White Bison. 504 a year ago. I mainly tried the solid lead conicals. No Excuse 460's, my own cast 450 and another cast 437. I gave yet to get this to shoot a decent group at 50 do no need to go further. I mainly was shooting 70 to 80 grains of Black MZ. Dave, maker of the No Excuses shoots a White ML, his 460 with 100 grains. I like the gun but need a better group. I have an old TC Hawken that out shoots the White. If I come u p with a load I'll get back. This Is A Great Forum But You Might Try Shootersforum.com . Alan

I tried Blackhorn 209 and will not go back to the other bp subs. It cleans up almost like smokeless. Lets me load about 15-20 before I even punch the bore. I am shooting 45 cal with a 50 cal sabots.

Look them up they have some data.

Are you shooting sabots?

If that's a 209 primed muzzleloader get blackhorn 209 and don't waste time with anything else. Get CCI 209 M primers. Have found best accuracy at 105-115 gr with multiple bullets in multiple muzzleloaders.

I have been pretty heavy into muzzleloaders, specifically smokeless guns, for the past couple years. Blackthorn 209 is the only BP sub I will shoot. Easier cleanup and more energy than pyrodex. Tons of info on their site. One thing I do is weight out all my charges for the most consistent accuracy. its a 0.7 conversion factor. 100 grains by volume is 70 grains by weight.
