Typically it's not a chainsaw that kills a sawyer. It's improper read of a bind, standing under a log when bucking said log, judging the lean of the tree wrong, widow makers, flying debris when your falling tree hits another tree, etc. All these things kill you when you happen to have a chainsaw in your hand. Usually, it's poor judgment and/or inexperience that kills people operating chainsaws.

Or slipping on Ice, that sh.t hurts. Did that the other day.
Before the big storm went to put my skid loader in the garage and just as I got beside it, both my legs went straight out in front of me, landed on my lower back and my head hit. I laid there for a few minutes doing the Is there anything broken check list.
Rolled over and crawled back off the ice to get back up.
Been sore with a headache since. Yes I got a mild concussion from that.
So Both Kinds of Ice can Kill ya

Yes! I actually wanted to post it on the thread where @lancetkenyon addressed not using a rifle scope as a spotter, but I restrained myself.
I'm not looking forward to the chainsaw work ahead of me. Limbs hung up in trees under significant tension can quickly become a disaster if you are not very careful. A few years ago I found this out first hand. Gravity will not be defeated. The tangles of fallen trees need to be approached very carefully and left to professionals if you are not experienced in dealing with very complex situations. The last thing you want to do is attack a very difficult situation by yourself.
