I decided to play around with some 300 blackout loads.

200 grain Makers Expanding Subs
10 grains of H110
2.20" OAL
Winchester Small Rifle Primers
Averaging 1057fps (10ft from muzzle)

Trued Remington 700 Tac
16" 300blk

100 yards since that is as far as I would use them.

Medium was a 1# bologna pack covered by a 10oz leather wrap. Backed it with a piece of 1/2" particle board and then several milk jugs.

Round penetrated to the 4th jug, damage to the first 2 jugs was substantial. The last 2 just had normal penetration holes.

I got expansion from 9 grains and up but the accuracy was best between 9.6 and 10.2 grains. Obviously 100% weight retention.

Sounds like it performed as designed, which would be good for subsonic .300 BLK & .308. Today I called and spoke with the owner about their new 1000 grain subsonic .510 cal bullets. He said they are about a month out from production so I ordered some of the 750 grainers for now.
Thanks for posting your experience, keep us updated (especially if you shoot some critters).

Ok, so these two were fried at 65 yards
#1- Winchester 1892, 24" barrel in 357 mag.
Handloaded 140 grain XTP at 2405 fps (avg)
This round was hard to capture, it shredded through a 1/4" piece of leather covering a 1# bologna pack and then 6-gallon water jugs!!! It was laying on the ground behind the 6th jug. The first 2 jugs literally exploded into multiple pieces. It expanded to 60 caliber with 90% weight retention.

#2- Henry Big Boy 45 Colt
Handloaded 300 grain XTP. I did not get a velocity on these but they are incredibly accurate and POWERFUL.
This on, using the same medium went to the 5th water jug with a hole in the back of the jug. I would use this load for anything in North America. The first to jugs essentially disintegrated. It expanded to 70 caliber with 95% weight retention.

I plan to use both these for deer/bear this year.

I have some of the Maker's REX, 110s loaded up. Not the tipped version.

Do any of you have any on game/deer experience these at a start velocity of 1050 FPS. At 100 yards that puts me at 938 FPS. In my woods, that's long range.
