Elk mount

I sure hope you drilled the skull plate and set those in place with about 10 good screws......dont know if glue will hold the weight WHEN you grab thm to move them around.....lot of weight....

Yea sorry. Didn't use actual glue. Set (6) 5
4inch screws and foamed them in with concrete foam. Then let it sit for 30 min, then formed the foam.

They're much bigger than you expect. Mine was 6' from chest to tip of the antler and stuck out almost 5'.

Looks good! Also looks like we might have the same form. Its a MASSIVE form. Cant believe how big it is. I was surprised the cape fit without modifications.

What state you get him? Looks like a Montana elk?

I was talking about the taxidermied head. Was very fortunate to kill that animal on the edge of a field. Drove the truck right up to him. But the 2 of us couldn't lift him in the bed of the pickup. Dragged him to a depression in the field. When the truck dipped down, it shortened the distance from the ground to the tailgate.

Ahh gotcha. We werent too lucky. A mile from any road and in dead fall. Sucked. But hughly worth it!

Good body!!

Well I didnt realize how big my elk mount (not antlers) the body on this bull was huge. Taxidermist had to special order the mount dimensions. Rediculous. (I'm almost 6' for measure)
