I have hunted all my life and hunted a lot, these new bullets remind me on the old Remington bronze points. These are super accurate work well close as well as at a great distance. just sayin I don't post often but I feel great about touting the ability's of these bullets. I use them in a 6.5 Creedmoor a Savage long range hunter as well as a Ruger both great weapons as well. hunt safe Fred

I agree these bullets are special. i just wish they made a 30 caliber version smaller. I like the way the 178's shoot but I dont get the speed I would like out of my 308.

I loved the performance out of my 7 Mag at 400. Some other guys in camp have had serious issues with bullet expansion in short range shots at stands (80-100) I am thiking about short barreli mg a 6.5 to slow it down and see how she fairs for Texa s whitetail and deer stand ranges.

I killed a big white-tailed doe a couple weeks ago at about 50 yards with 143 led X out of a 22" 6.5 creedmoor. Bang flop. No exit, banged up real well inside

I think a 155 and a 168 should be added to that eldx lineup up for the 30 caliber. The 308 will shine at longer ranges shooting much flatter. Also game size such as deer, pronghorn etc will fit these bullets more appropriately.

I still have some bronze points for my 30-06, but shoot the 175 eld-x out of my 7mm and like them alot.

I started using the ELD-X bullets in my .284 Win last year. Loading the 162 grain bullet with 51.0 grains of H4350 @ 2877fps.

I have taken a couple whitetail and a couple hogs with this load. Everything dropped where if stood except one buck that only ran about 30 yard before piling up.

My nephew is also running the ELD-X Bullet in his 6.5x47 Lapua. 143 grain bullet loaded with 36.3 grains of Varget @ 2768 fps. He has also taken a couple deer and hogs with it. They all pretty much dropped where they stood.

We are pretty impressed with the ELD-X bullet so far.

I have tried various weights in various calibers and chamberings. Out of 10-11 rifles, only 3 shot them really well. But those 3 shot them exceptionally.

I have a box of the 6mm 103 ELD-X to try in my 6CM I am building now. Not real high hopes for them however.

I have used both ELD-x and ELD-m and both have shown decent expansion...not sure I'd trust them like I do swift A frames,Barnes and northfork bonded bullets but good enough.

I have an elk hunt coming up this coming season (Nov.) here in Arizona and opted to try out the Hornady ELDX's. Had been using Nosler Accubond's. I shoot a .300 Win.Mag. and loaded up the 200 grain offerings in both types of bullets. They shoot sub min of angle at 200 yards. I'm getting right at 2900 fps using 74 grains of H1000. I have a savage Mod 111 and also a Browning A bolt and both of them love both bullets. I'm really looking forward to using the ELDX's this fall. And the price is 1/2 the cost of Accubonds.

Love my 6.5 CM in both my Ruger Precision Rifle competition rifle (Hornady 147 gr. ELD-M) and my Ruger American Predator hunting rifle (Hornady 143 gr. ELD-X).

My RAP has a Timmy trigger, Boyd's Classic laminated stock (click the imager for a close-up of the excellent optional fish scale checkering), Brownell's Savage 110 metal trigger guard, SWFA 3.5 - 15 x 42 scope with FFP, mil/mil turrets & reticle and side focus knob. That's a MAGPUL Modular sling W/ flush cup swivels.

Glad most people are getting good results with them. I've stockpiled a few for my 6.5 SS that's nearly done. If they don't work, I'm gonna have a bunch to get rid of, lol.
