That's a good idea. I'll these years I've used a paper clip that needs re-bent all the time.

I use a piece of soft steel wire that I bend a 90 degree angle near one end, and cut off with dykes to get a sharp edge.

This is ready to go. All I needed to do was slightly bend the loop at the end where the spinner is locked on the arm and snip the other end.
