We went to a friend's feedlot this morning and all got our limit of whitewing, morning dove. We also killed over a dozen eurasian dove which there's no limit here. A good time with good friends.
Made some last weekend--slice of hatch chile,slice of cream cheese,and slice of avocado inbetween boneless breasts halfs,wrapped in bacon. 3-4 per skewer and grilled on the pit. I think they were the best dove I have ever fixed!
Wrap breast, sliver of Jalapeno, slice of cheddar cheese put on the Treager pour at least 3 finger of your favorite Bourbon and tell lies with you hunting buddies!
Jerk seasoning and then BBQ them. Just before they're done mix some beer with BBQ sauce and paint it on (you have to let the sauce cook). Finally, NO GAS GRILL! Enjoy.
