Argentina dove hunt

Bought a 4 man Cordoba dove hunt last summer at a charity deal. Fast forward to now trying to book the hunt and the outfitter is saying they have no shells so won't book a hunt and also won't refund money. Said they are waiting on their election in a few days. I haven't hit the panic button yet, doing research on the company.
Anyone have any info on the situation in Argentina and the possible resolution.

Wow...stuff you just don't think about happening but...it's happening! I hope the outfitter gets some ammo so you can book your trip sooner rather than later.

I can understand the company not wanting to refund the trip just yet if everything will be resolved in a few days, pending outcome of the election. Did the outfitter assure you they would refund your money if the election did not turn out as hoped for? If they cannot provide you the trip you paid for, a refund should be forthcoming. I hope this all works out in your favor in a few days.

Javier Milei is the new sheriff come December, but things will be shaken up for a while. He is a destroyer of Socialism and apparently he has a lot to destroy. Might give it a little time. He is a bit high strung, but Argentina was in real trouble before him.

Trying to reverse the path of 45 years of Socialism in Argentina will certainly take more than just a few months. The owners of Hookfire (American owners) have already spent your money and they are not going to lose money by refunding your payment when inflation has been on a running away course.

Negotiate as best you can and live with the results, it may take a while.

Recent update, had a phone conference with the owner of the company. Bottom line is that he would refund the money which I am in the process of making that formal request.
Said they still didn't have ammo and the % slowly rises over the next months. May have ammo as early as Mid July or may not have any until next year. Too iffy to keep dealing with it. Will lose the part of the fee paid to the charity but that is ok.
