I have some H-1000 powder that is probably close to 10 years old. It has been stored indoors. Any problems using it?? I would hate to trash 8lbs.

As long as it still looks good and has a slightly acetone smell powder is good. I've got some mil-surp 5010 in the garage I'm using for fertilizer bacause it is giving off a sulferous odor and it is turning a brownish color and clumping. 10 years old isn't that old for powder. I've burned 50 year old powder before.

It is probably OK if it has not been stored in a damp environment. When powder granules absorb water, they lose their potentcy. This does not make it dangerous; just the opposite. very low and inconsistent muzzle velocity.
