I was running 185vld with 100 grains of retumbo and was wanting some to check quick land to get a speed on it so I have a ideal. It coming out of a Remington sps 26" barrel I also would like to see what others are shooting in there's

I would say you are around 3350-3400fps , I was 3400 when I tried them in my rem long range. I decided to go to the 215 hybrid . I get 3100 fps with the 215s and retumbo.

I've had very good groups and performance on game with a 185 vld and 88 gr. of H1000 that load is getting me 3075 fps.

You are only loading that thing to 300 WM velocities. You could get a 300 wm mag and get that speed and burn less powder.

That's below 300 Win Mag velocities.... unless you're talking a slow or a stubby barreled one. My 300 H&H does that.... My 300 Win pumps out 180s at 3150-3200.

I'm running my 300 Rum with a 175 TMK and RL25.... to around 3350....and have been playing a bit with Retumbo and the 200 ELD-X...
Lately, I've been too busy not getting a migraine from cannons and havin fun with my 280 Ackleys.
:D

Looking at that powder charge.... I would never wanna be behind that rifle in cold weather. Id be VERY worried about detonation. You're about 3 grains BELOW start charge... You're using a proper charge for a monolithic projectile.

That is one reason I post was to see what others would say about the load it's safe here in Missouri with 75* days but ween I head out to New Mexico what is it going to do

I run the 230's at 89.4 grn of retumbo at 3.79oal. It give me about 2940fps. It's a hotter load in my gun. No bolt lift issues but a faint ejection mark. Brass is only good for about 4 reloads this way. I pushed it to 6 and had a carbon ring about 1/3 around on the case web. This was full length resizing each time.

What primer are you using, and how many grains of Retumbo with your Berger 215 grain Hybrids? I'm using a factory Remington 700 barreled action with a 5R 1:10 twist. I've installed a Wyatts extended magazine box allowing me to seat the bullets out to 3.825" if necessary. Thank you in advance for your help.

What's going on with all the necro-threads.....
