I have an AGM Neith. It works well and I really like it, except for massive over exposure when looking into the chicken coop at night. It cranks the exposure through the roof because the rest of the image is dark and it wants to see everything. I have tried all the settings with no luck, and even tried covering part of the lens. Nothing helps.
I did contact AGM asking about a firmware update for exposure control, but they said "don't expect anything". One of the people I talked to tried to tell me the "smart ir" would fix it, but that only controls the illuminator brightness, not exposure. I cannot use the illuminator because the rats see it and hide.
The door is at the end of a chicken tunnel and there is a small door at the end of the tunnel, so I am shooting through 2 doors and into the coop where there is a red heat lamp. That is the only light. Putting another light in the tunnel would not help because I can only see inside the coop and the outside of the tunnel from my location.
I have tried blocking the light from shining directly on the surfaces I can see and it doesn't help. I even swapped in a dim red nightlight and it STILL did it even with THAT one blocked.
I know it is an overexposure problem that needs an update to be fixed. Something like a manual selection of maybe 10-20 maximum limit levels and then auto mode. I know there are people having the same issue, because this is a common activity/setup/situation.
How do I get AGM to make an update for this.
