Covering a Suppressor

Since this is my first year hunting with a suppressor, what does everyone use to keep snow/mud out of if? Does tape work? Will that affect accuracy?

Tape works, no issues.

Tape should work for hunting with 1-2 shots. Just remember, the can will get hot QUICKLY when firing.

Tape doesn't affect poi? I know on a barrel it won't, but there is also way more air pressure than too.

I use a thin ziploc, let my suppressor cover hold it down. No negative effects that I've found.

Get an Armageddon cover. It will protect the silencer but more impo protect you from getting burned. You grab it at the wrong time and expect 3rd degree burns. Cheap for the protection it offers.

i have used the black pasters from splatter targets or black Avery label dots for a suppressor bore cover. They don't stick super well but that hasn't been an issue yet.

A condom works well, but I suggest you tell your wife about it in case she finds some in your hunting gear.

;-))) The military way, use a condom, if you're prone to dragging your muzzle thru the landscape.

For the muzzle: a finger cut off a latex rubber glove.
For a suppressor, I'd try condoms.
For your buddy's suppressor, maybe (when he isn't looking) ... a tickler?
