i have a good sized box trap i think its a coon took the bait 3 times never set it off and it has a hair trigger

What are you using for bait? Can you tie the bait to the trigger plate??

I can't swear that it it work….. but, I've had great luck using "the tuna fish can" technique. Though, I merely placed it on the plate…..not secured! memtb

Just cut the lid halfway around and squeeze it down a little into the can let the juices come up, but don't give them the bait. They will fumble with that can and eventually set off the trigger.

My favorite coon medicine used to be an IMI .357 pump rifle. Tho old Timber Wolf.

Try digging a small hole under the trap between the pan and the end wall. They have to move around quite a bit while trying to get to the bait through the cage.

A really educated one might try to roll the cage, but usually try inside first.

Poke a couple holes in the sardine can and wire it down in the back of the trap. Don't open the can. If the sardines are in mustard you might catch me.
