Cleaning rod dilema

I have a problem. I have a 26" long 223 barreled action on a manners eh1 and I have the longest tipton cleaning rod at 44" that doesn't clear the comb. Why don't they offer a 56" 22cal rod??? Does anyone else offer one?

You could get two of the proshot section rods and make one longer one. Polish the joint edges up and locktite them together.

OH, I've never seen a rod longer than 44". Perhaps an e-mail to a couple manufacturers to ask if a custom length is possible.

Sounds like a recipe for disaster, I'll either pull the action and/or put it in another stock.

Good idea, I'll have to do that. I can't believe there aren't any long 22 rods. I'll ask a guy I know has a 30" 223 what he uses.

Sinclair has a 48 inch bortech Midway has a special order 60 inch bortech

Both proshot and Montana extreme make some very good sectional rods. They appear to be centerless ground so there's virtually no edges at the joints.
