I want to try a different powder in my .243win. I know that if I switch bullets I need to clean out all the copper. But just switching powder what is recommended for a cleaning regime? Should I just run a couple of patches until the carbon is gone or get all the copper out too?
Thanks

When working up loads I like to start with a clean barrel absent of copper. I feel like I am giving each load a good starting point. But, I don't really know if it makes any real difference. It would make for a good test next load workup. I am anal when it comes to cleaning my firearms anyway.
