Clash of the Bighorn Rams

Yesterday I was able to catch quite a show from these two rams in Chelan County Washington:

The darker ram seemed to be younger and a little smaller than his opponent. Wasn't as aggressive either, and ended up getting knocked to his knees once. It's funny how all year long they're good buddies. The mature males will hang out together in a small group, well away from the ewes and kids. Then fall comes and they've just got to slam heads.

It is awesome sight to see . When I was working in BC there was over 200 big horns in this herd and we watch 10 full curl ram fight 1 pair would fight then lay down then then next set would do the same thing it was wild. This was on. Private property
