I did a search on this and couldn't find much. Just wondering about opinions on the best way to treat a rough chrome moly rifle barrel other than standard bluing to be used in hunting applications. Teflon? Gun-Kote? Duracoat?

Parkerizing is pretty good stuff.

Of the coatings I thinkmthat the bake one Ceracoat is the toughtest or at least that what I've been reading reviews on , followed my KG Gunkote and duracoat.

James Jones.....thanks for your reply. This must not be a very interesting topic but I would like to ask one more question. How durable is the rust blueing if I chose to go that way? If it is scratched or scuffed is it easily touched up or does it have to be completely re-blued?
