I've been looking for a long range, light weight gun that I can confidently take a deer to elk at medium distance, but also take to the range and shoot out to 1400 yd. I'm new to shooting and I was thinking of the mesa fft at 5.5 lb in 6.5 prc but I've heard great and terrible things about CA. I was also looking into the 110 ultra light that comes in about the same price and pretty close in weight. I was thinking of putting a leuplod 5hd 3-16x44, a Vortex pst gen 2 3-15x44, or a Zeiss v4 4-16x44? Would I need a little more magnification? A larger objective lense? A different caliber or gun?
